In New York, we met up with Birgit and Peter Smythe, Helen's friends from university who were on vacation in the US. Highlights of the trip included morning bagels (with lox, of course) at Murray's, Indian food, MOMA, the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset, an excursion to Little Italy and piping hot donuts at Krispy Kremes. (Can you tell that we like food?)
